Our expert team of educators offers on-site consultation and professional development programs to educational institutions in Haiti. Our philosophy is that local school leaders know what their needs are and benefit most when they are facilitated in developing their own agendas for change. Thus, our process starts with an in-depth meeting between our team of consultants and the administrative and/or teaching staff at the school sites. The purpose of our introductory session is to establish the school’s priorities, needs, strengths, weaknesses, and areas for development. Our goal is for everyone to leave the first meeting with a clear idea of what the school hopes to accomplish as well as a “tool box” of ideas to implement.
In most cases we train on-site administrators to implement the customized strategies that we have developed and demonstrated for schools based on their individual and collective goals. Components can include but are not limited to Teacher Training Seminars, Oversight Sessions, Model Teaching Scenarios, One-on-One Consultation Breakouts, and additional components as determined and needed. Meetings are conducted in Creole or in English with simultaneous translation in Creole.
Between on-site visits we are always only a phone call or email away. Our personalized approach keeps our clients confident in implementing their customized program between our team’s visits. Most clients schedule our on-site visits every three to four months over a course of one to two years. The choice is based on each client’s specific needs.
